3rd Thursday

First let me start off by saying that when Jonathan is on-call things aren't good. Every night this week we have been awakened by the cry, not of the baby sleeping peacefully between us but of his pager. I still haven't figured out what could be so important that Jonathan had to work almost all night last night then go in and work all day today. He has worked like a million hours this week. In my opinion, if someone isn't dying or in labor your pager shouldn't go off all night.

OK, now that that is out of the way I can write about what we did yesterday. The island we live on (and I say island because it sounds so cool!) has an event on the 3rd Thursday of every month during the summer. There is sometimes music, wine tasting, kids activities, etc. all in the town center. We have enjoyed going a couple of times. We get dinner and eat outside and meet a lot of very nice people who live around us. It is a nice way to spend the evening.
Last night there was a face painter. Deklan got this cool shark painted on his arm. He doesn't like things painted on his face because "then he can't see it."

Okay Erin, I just sat here and read all the way back to the beginning of your blog (much to Randy's chagrin, since I basically ignored him as he tried to engage me in conversation!). I've got to say, not a day goes by that I do not thank and praise God that He brought us back to Texas, but I will also say without hesitation that EVEN with all the rainfall, Washington is the bomb! The water! The mountains! Did I mention the water?! I've added your blog to my reader so I can check in with you and salivate over the scenery every so often!
