Well, it has been 2 weeks since we have been back in Ohio. It has been a very stressful 2 weeks. I am sure you have all been on the edge of your seats waiting for an update, so here you go.
Since returning to Ohio, I have been at the urgent care to treat and massive ear infection and sinus infection (gotta love Ohio in the fall). Deklan and Jonathan have both had colds. Merrick is being treated for thrush and has had an EEG and 2 EKG's.
The EEG came back normal! No underlying seizure disorder and no need to worry. That was great news. However, we didn't get to stay happy for long because his EKG came back with some questionable results. They weren't worried but wanted to do a second one just in case.
The second EKG results came back yesterday. Unfortunately, the results were the same as the first. Merrick's lower left side of his heart is enlarged. The strange thing about it is that lots of things could have caused the enlargement but the enlargement is not causing the seizures.
We will be seeing a cardiologist soon to have more tests done and see what our options are. I can't really put into words how Jonathan and I are feeling right now.
Please keep Merrick in your thoughts and prayers and I will try to update again once things slow down (if that ever happens!).

I can only imagine the stress of Merrick's health issues folded in with the upheaval from your move. You're in our prayers.
