But what I will post about is what happened on Friday night. Friday we picked Jonathan up from the bus stop. It was a nice night so we went to the park. Deklan was having a great time. When Merrick woke up from his nap I took him to play. He was watching a little baby walk around and laughing.
Jonathan took Merrick over to this little tunnel thing. They stood on one side and I called Merrick from the other. When Merrick got to me I saw blood all over his hand. We have no idea what happened but he wasn't a bit upset. We washed his hand off and tried to get the bleeding to stop.
After about 15 minutes it had stopped enough to see that the very small cut was pretty deep. I called the doctors office and they told us to take him to urgent care. So without stopping for dinner we went to the urgent care.
We didn't have a very long wait. The doctor took a look at it and said he didn't want to stitch it but that he wanted to "glue" it back together. Merrick was really good. When the doctor was done he said "okay it should be fine just don't let him put it in his mouth." As soon as he said that Merrick stuck his hand right in his mouth.
So the doctor got some gauze out and some of that stretchy tape-like stuff and covered it all up. We left laughing at how ridiculous he looked and how a tiny cut needed so much attention. We took a couple of pictures in the parking lot before everything took a turn for the worse.
I ran as fast as I could back into the urgent care. They gave him oxygen and called 911. The good news is that this time the seizure stopped on its own and by the time the medics got there Merrick was asleep in my arms.
They transported us to the hospital which made my second ambulance ride in a month.
At the hospital we watched him sleep for several hours. Jonathan left and got dinner and Deklan was SO good just sitting and drawing.
When he woke up the doctor spent some time talking about what our plan should be for Merrick. The doctor feels Merrick should see a neurologist. So today I am going to call our pediatrician back on Grove City and see if I can get a referral for a neurologist back home.
I am praying for peace to enter our household soon.....

No words--just praying that a solution can be found.
Hang in there! Regardless of the situation, things always seem better (at least to me) when I have family and friends surrounding and supporting me. Let's hope the next seven days goes quickly! Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
